Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Wake up

It's no wonder the company is laying off "older workers". They are the primary reason that innovation has ceased to exist at the company.

Overpaid by any standards ..... playing out the string and hoping to retire before the company figures out that they are just paper weights.

NetApp is a cult of lemmings and entitled puppets.

The Shadeur Sanders of the technology world.

Most of the old timer engineers I worked with when I was there were rock solid and had tons of wisdom to impart. Get off the forum with your ageist bullsh-t.

Aside from that, the technical staff was almost never the problem at netapp. Instead, poor leadership was almost always the real issue. I imagine that largely contributed to the recent layoffs.

How many patents have you authored at NetApp? I have a few; another old colleague has just more than I have, counting only those from the last year. Yes, new engineers are welcome, but you are assuming that senior engineers stopped in time.
