Partners unite?

I have talked to many partners who are appalled by the decisions that are being made right now. Why not consider a no-confidence vote for the MP?

These types of votes have happened at other firms, couldn’t it happen at EJ?

I’d like to believe Ted would be the first to sign that petition…

@8yp @OPThe only way something like that would ever happen is if a strong majority of FAs demanded it. I’ve heard that many branches are unhappy, and there have been grassroots efforts in different regions where FAs have spoken up when GPs visited to gather feedback. There were a lot of valid complaints, but unfortunately, ELT twisted the narrative and ended up making things worse.

If FAs use the summer regional meetings to clearly voice their concerns, there may still be a real opportunity. The truth is, if the majority of FAs united and made it clear that meaningful change is non-negotiable or they’ll walk. Leadership would be forced to listen. FAs have far more power than they realize. It’s time to use it.

@OP I still believe there is hope for a vote of no confidence but remove ELT and Penny. Cut the poison out.

What feels really gross is these GPs that are getting gently re-imagined with an EIGHT month in advance heads up, while associates get 60 days if they're lucky... you know, those exact same people that have families to feed and need jobs and income the most...

Maybe, just maybe, they don't give GPs as big of a golden parachute... and instead give associate's a little better severance package... why help hundreds when you can further enrich dozens... crazy talk, right?

Doug Hill cost the firm more money than most people who work there will ever earn in a lifetime.

What if the whole company stood up to say no confidence to the direction?

Has to be 50% of General Partnership INTEREST to vote to oust a Managing Partner. Not 50% of partners, but 50% of total partnership interest. It would probably take 200-300 “low level” partners to effect such a change.

PP has ruined this firm. She is only aligning herself with other “yes” people
