Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

2025 in 2025

Don’t forget to celebrate India’s growth with your company while your weak-kneed US directors continue to layoff large swaths of your US people this year.
And if you receive a 3 on your evaluation while India hands out 4s and 5s by the hundreds that must have nothing to do with devaluing you as a US employee in order to have more reason to replace you. This is my last day. Have fun.

What # of states is using Gainwell to do Claims Processing. That's the indicator of the company's relevance in the State Healthcare sphere.

Probably related to DXC buying Molina Healthcare's Medicaid business in 2018.

Are they changing their name or being bought by Molina? Their FEIN search now says Molina Information Systems. I had to look it up for something and that came up.

CMS has told the states it is up to them to decide if they will allow the offshoring also insultingly called “best shore” of the US jobs. The reporters need to get to CMS and report about the Federal Government level allowing the sending of PHI and US jobs to other countries. US tax dollars being used to pay for India workers. Also should know about the workaround of cycling them in and out of the US to get around the contractual language

I hope this thread gets leaked to news and to all states DOHs so they know to avoid these conversations with GWT when discussions start around renegotiating contractual agreements

Why on Gods Green earth would states knowingly send 100’s of millions of dollars offshore? That is essentially what they are doing when they use vendors who appear to be an American company but the majority of its workforce is foreign actors.

Appears whistleblowing is big business.
Key aspects of whistleblower protections and rewards:
Monetary Incentives:
Whistleblowers can receive a percentage of the monetary sanctions collected in successful enforcement actions, ranging from 10% to 30% depending on the program and the amount recovered.
Protection from Retaliation:
Laws like the Dodd-Frank Act and the SEC Whistleblower Program prohibit employers from retaliating against employees who report wrongdoing.
Anonymity and Confidentiality:
Many programs allow for anonymous reporting and offer confidentiality protections to whistleblowers.
Qui Tam Lawsuits:
Whistleblowers can also pursue qui tam lawsuits, which allow private citizens to sue on behalf of the government to recover money.

Wonder if banks make loans for judicial judgements to companies? Keep this in mind if you’re privy to any illegal activities. You don’t have to stay silent. Speak up and we will cheer you on! Wonder if the person who reported $60 million fraud was awarded $18 million? That would be awesome.

Enough with the states excuses of we didn’t know, so we hired x company to do it. They have a fiduciary obligation to protect these vulnerable populations and if they get onboard with foreign managed PHI they willingly participated. Folks need to call their legislators and make them aware that citizens don’t want their protected health information shared with foreign actors. If GW does it that means other vendors will follow suit. Let’s hope this is all rumors. The person with first hand knowledge should def step up if it’s true. It should be front page news.

Foreign managed PHI sounds like a recipe for fraud and the states know that. If they choose to allow it then they are complicit in any fraud that happens. Looks like some Medicaid recips will hit the jackpot with class action lawsuits. Jury would be sympathetic to 10 year old disabled child who has had their identity stolen in order to pad pockets. Wonder if the states will have these vulnerable people sign arbitration clauses so they can commit fraud with as little risk as possible when they qualify for coverage?

They are working on persuading states to allow offshore to work on phi data in their new contracts. It's crazy.

The people that didn’t get cut this time don’t know that next year, they’ll come again and say you need to get rid of X amount of people again. It’s not going to stop now cause you missed this round.

It literally says in the SA that the reason you lost your job is to offshoring/redundancy.

I could say a lot on this. I believe it’s true. They promoted the person in India that took my job after only 6 months to my level and yeeted me. They literally don’t know sheet. I have many years of industry experience.

“The company is a good place to work”

Hahahahaha.

You should look around. Pay attention to the data. GWT is in serious trouble both financially and for committing fraud.

It can’t be denied. Haha it can’t even be argued differently.
