Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Selective Moderation : Why when they don’t violate rules?

Forum supposed to be for layoff talk and some leaders are making the permitter lists their personal vendetta list, but posts about leaders and layoffs getting deleted.
Some leaders changing story—we noticed. Why only those posts go missing? ShadyAF. Just want truth, especially with perimeter lists, layoffs, people going then trying to stay nonsense. Why the double standard?

The internal consultants are making $350k base salary. They’re worth their wait in gold. We don’t just pay people to pay them. They went through a rigorous hiring process too.

It’s funny how many people simply play victim. I don’t know that going to EQT is a bad thing. There will be money there. I don’t even know what this has to do with IT. The biggest problem I’ve seen is some directors in IT bring no value to the engineering teams they lead. That doesn’t change the fact however that product has absolutely no idea of what a product is, what revenue targets are, or how to grow the business.

No vendetta, multiple people noticed revenge, bad leadership, & suspicious actions. When that many voices align, it’s not a grudge, it’s a red flag. This is my first post ever so stop saying it’s one person, it’s not. So f-ng sick of the bullying and shaming, it’s abuse of power, this sh-t is REAL and if you can’t see it you’re blind!

When the moderators remove posts, I assume they are removing all posts made by that same person in the same thread. Which makes sense because it seems like it is the same person is posting on the same topic, flaming this one targeted individual over and over.

Please take your personal vendettas elsewhere.

IT isn’t the issue. The lingering internal consultants from the LN hire are. While it’s understandable they’re trying to secure their positions, the roles they’re in don’t match. Results hurt the rest of us.

Let’s be real, these decisions are hitting people hard. Most of us are just trying to do our jobs in the mess caused by a few questionable calls.

IT catches a lot of heat here, but it’s about the same size as Accounting/Finance which is way less than the 5–10% most companies have to support systems. Nights, weekends, on-call, done it so everyone can work without disruption. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes .

When choices aren’t based on logic or decency, people get caught in the crossfire. That’s not a reason to turn on each other (the people doing it sure). We’re all on the same team. Most folks see it for what it is, it su-ks, a lot unfair. Let’s be decent to each other.

I pray that the IT perimeter is mostly marked for Zayo and these unhappy unproductive people all find new employers after the close.

All I hear is “whine whine whine whine whine”. It’s not your site, you don’t make the rules. If you don’t like it, take it up with the site owner.

Post your own name and we can all air our grievances about you.

Posts about other VPs stay up? This one as a leader absent except when there is C-suite exposure, then they exist. No knowledge of the space or attempts to learn, so when they do show up it’ derails. Their skill is managing up, leading is non-existent. 10
Months with the org and 2 meetings, 1 was 5 mins to say they were leaving easy to see why their org is frustrated, they want a leader who has the skills and knowledge who actually leads. Why are they still around after giving notice?

Copied from another board here, I think it clears up some things regarding post deletions
————————————————
HR may monitor posts here and on Reddit, but they don’t own these websites and can’t delete those posts themselves.

The only thing they can do is to report a certain post for being illegal or violating the websites’ rules. If and only if the post in question does break those rules, it gets deleted by site owners/moderators.

So, when posting be smart and make sure the post doesn’t contain f-words and personal insults. Don’t name people who aren’t c-suits, and when criticizing the management focus on their work instead of their looks and personality and the chances are your post won’t get deleted

Real leaders don’t care. Bad ones do. That VP’s permitter list looks like folks who spoke up listed first, payback. Thought they were leaving, they had an entire 5 min call to announce it, 2nd org call since they started, why still here?

One comment named a name , others didn’t. All got deleted. No personal attacks, facts that affected many. If that person got them pulled, validates the comments made.

You can’t name anyone unless they’re publicly listed on the executive team. Just because they’re a VP doesn’t mean they are free to talk about.

Aha. She may have contacted the site directly and complained. You can mention executives by name here but you can't make any kind of personal/defamatory attack (or what can be argued as such). 99% of execs don't give two sh--s about what people say, they know it comes w the job, but a few do I guess.
