Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Another Huge Miss for PepsiCo (Q1). Layoffs are coming in May-June

  • Keep us Posted on what You're Hearing --- SVPs and VPs met last week to discuss May-June layoffs and outsourcing opportunities. This ship is sinking so fast. Ramon get a raise for 2025 for sinking this ship. Get out while you can. I'm not hearing any news about the VRP package. Those who missed out on the last package may be going down with the rest of us.

The most money wasting deadweight at PepsiCo is DPA run by G-yatri. No vision no competence and the only answer is do it cheaper in India

Any news of layoffs? Is DPA in S&T going to be finally dissolved?

I’m increasingly concerned about the company’s direction. It appears that inner circle candidates are being favored, while capable and knowledgeable employees are being let go. Until this imbalance is addressed, I fear the company's long-term viability may be at risk.

Does anyone know what the severance package is for a layoff? I have seen 2 weeks for every year worked previously. Possibly capped at one year of pay? Are they accepting volunteers?

As a supplier I ve never known such incompetence in engineering project management. Too many chiefs, just too many of everybody actually.

I am not surprised by the missed Q1 results. As long as we have leaders like Ramon Laguarta and Athina Kanioura, this company is likely to miss many more quarters. These "white elephants" need to be removed from the company immediately.

I would call such folks “leaders”

There will be more layoffs in May. Then you can expect them again towards end of year and Feb/March 2026. That is how leaders deliver productivity.

This is a tough day for PepsiCo. The chickens have come home to roost! Too many managers, lack of innovation, and dead end projects have lead to this slow moving mega disaster.

Craziest part is saying they will combat tariffs with increased employee productivity… as if they aren’t making everyone do the work of 2-3 people already… I want out

Don't let tariff impact on COGS fool you. It's simply a distraction for Wall Street.

As a 25+ year veteran I am sad to say the PepsiCo portfolio is now considered toxic. It will poison earnings for a very long time. Unfortunately, this will impact the companies' ability to attract the best and the brightest, and I'm not referring to the low hanging Ivy League grads they recruit every year.

They continue supporting the old and tired leadership team that drove them into this ditch and that team will be unable to get the company back on track. Flee on your own terms while you can.

Most of the fat has already been cut. How long before they get into muscle and bone?

@a9+1jsm0x4ky. Unfortunately, they're either at the leadership level and/or making the layoff decision. Others are being protected based on favoritism.

There's still lots of non-value add deadweight in Plano that can be cut
