Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

ELT Changes Coming!

So hearing there is a GP meeting today to share ELT changes. Anyone want to wager on winners and losers?

I’m betting that the poorest leaders around PP’s table will remain. This is about the only thing she has been consistent in - tolerating weak leadership.

Oh, and Chubak will continue his land grab while reminding us that he “gets what it’s like to be in the shoes of an FA” because he spent 4 weeks covering a vacant office…

Not nearly enough. KJ and Suzan need to go. They're useless.

That was the same meeting he said we're all lucky to have jobs when everyone else is having layoffs, defended his NYC office (and him taking the biggest room for himself) and basically said stoo bi--hing about your raises not keeping up with inflation and bonuses being down. It was super tone deaf when he had just got and handed keys to a multi-million dollar role at a firm that eas built by many of the people he was mouthing off to. The dude su-ks.

Chubak has sc--wed so much up. He was lecturing about Edward Jones culture in the auditorium after being at the firm for all of 3 months and said, “wow, I didn’t realize there were two levels in here”. Just a run of the mill hatchet man. He’ll cut and then move on to the next stop and do it all over again. I guess money goes a long way when you have no shame.

Was that the same meeting where he went off on someone asking about pay? He’s a dou--ebag.

Chubak sure does get Edward Jones culture. One of his first speeches in the auditorium he said Zoolander 2 su-ked in front of the empty “client” chair. He understands exactly (sarcasm).

PP’s video said upcoming VSP terms will be different from the Operatsions VSP. Operations VSP was 2 weeks severance/year of service.
Given all the talk of “human centered” approach, I sure hope it is more than 2weeks/year for the upcoming VSP.

The WARN notice was probably them announcing Enterprise Reimagined back in March.

Any ideas on what areas of Home Office are likely to be impacted?

Honestly, 2 weeks is pretty middling and standard for severance, but that's what our firm has evolved too... average.

They also got 6 months of healthcare insurance. Not sure if that was VSP only, or SP, too.

@bx+1jskt9x7d if still impacted did they also get 2 months' notice or pay per the WARN Act as well?

Operations VSP was 2 weeks per year of service. If you didn’t accept the VSP and was still impacted your severance was 1 week per year of service

Does anyone know how the VSP worked in Operations last year? I am guessing it was based on tenure, among other things. Details appreciated!

Reading the tea leaves it is looking like a contest is shaping up between the two David's and Andy for next MP... maybe KJ... but she's Penny's girl, so she might retire at the same time.

How in the heck did KJ get elevated even more?? That's insane.

Frank and Lena won't be missed. Tim was a good dude.

Frank, Tim and Lena got the “retiring” label while Lisa got a “special role” for Enterprise Reimagined
