I've been feeling really demoralized. I want to leave Met, if for no other reason than just for a change of scenery. Of course, there are many other reasons as well. I've been searching for months and have only landed two interviews. Both were disappointing experiences, with offers that fell significantly short of my current compensation at Met. Companies are definitely using the tough job market as an opportunity to take advantage of the workforce.

@bj it's not HR, they pay some poor jr schmuck in the shadow IT/Ops team to search the boards and report on what people are saying.
MetLife is significantly below industry pay as they use their own made up pay scale that they feel is fair compensation. Hr isn’t there for employees it’s there to reduce legal exposure for the company which is needed a lot due to the hostile work environment and shady business dealings. One day there will be a government audit. Gonna be fun to watch.
Puh leeze, most places pay significantly MORE than Met! Knock it off, HR! Your tactics are paper thin. We can see your under pa-ties.

Sorry to hear.
