The reality is while LBT has made some limited direct management changes (Christi, Greg)... but make no bones about it, any manager who has reduced scope over the last month will likely be gone before the end of the year. This prob includes Navid and Michelle... who while is still around, has reduced scope. Those who gained more scope will likely be around like Sweater Boy Judas and AI Professor (CTO, AI). Same with any VP or even G10 managers... if they aren't gaining scope, that means they are redundant, and will soon be invited to leave.

Yep, musical chairs. If your manager cannot find/have/get 14 reports...they have to pass up. This is how middle management will be compressed. No dotted line reports.
I think what OP describes is the thing for line workers to watch, because when they are gone, many of their org are usually gone too.
The process has already started, and the more flattening that is done, the less overall headcount will remain.
See how far LBT is willing to channel Andy Grove in his effort to Make Intel Lean for the Future (MI-F).
