Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Can someone explain what is HC10?

I joined the company fairly recently (EMHC) and have been reading threads on this site. There is a lot of mention about "HC10 employees." Can someone please explain? I could guess that it includes Houston campus employees.

It is true that the management is full throttle to India.

Engineer in India with BTC supervision
Procure in India by BTC
Fabricate in India with BTC supervision

Send to USA to install then send as many Indian operations personnel as possible to operate it.

No tracking of any mistakes by any BTC.

The USA is not safe. Please child. You think management isn’t doing everything they can to fire each and every employee who isn’t in India? India or bust is management motto these days.

USA, Canada and Singapore are safe but many jobs will be outsourced. UK, Italy and France are toast. And Germany will be toast with jobs outsourced. Potential or recent changes in UK tax laws will increase the cost of British expats, so XOM will see a huge reduction in British expats.
Aus Bass Strait will be downsized and eventually sold off (unless a major discovery occurs soon) except for Non-Operated Gorgon LNG.
Can a Brit chime in on the recent flurry of activity by British expats? Is something happening with the Leatherhead sale?

see @bv post. HC10 careers are dead end unless you're a HiPo. Ask someone what that is if you don't know. Then update your resume and start looking for a new job.

The irony in the list is that EM will likely exit operations from almost all of these places except the USA... Yet they do not want to retain roles in the US or pay fair market salaries for US employees...

(Australia, Singapore, UK, Canada, Belgium operations are all under competitive evaluation and will likely be gone by the end of the decade if not sooner)
