I heard the rules are not the same for everybody. Is that true? I know it depends on time with the company, but some people are saying different roles and levels are getting different payouts. Is that actually happening?

Those of us that are still employed think we’re lucky but really it just means that when we are inevitably let go, there won’t be any severance package remaining :/
When did it drop from 4 weeks per year to 2 weeks? That's pretty significant!
suppose to be 2 months (so stay employed but not in office) plus 2 weeks per year of service. Heard some people have to stay on for the 2 months and work. So it varies.
can confirm some people got 2 months + 2 weeks additional severance per year worked, while others just got the 2 months. I have no idea what criteria they used to give one package over the other. maybe the people who only got 2 months were already super expensive to begin with so they didn't want to stretch out those paychecks any longer than they had to? pure speculation though.
I suspect the severance will be less generous as time goes on, since our stock is tanking more and more. For instance, I'm sure people who were laid off in 2024 and 2023 probably got a better "deal" than people who did or will be laid off in 2025, especially in this current political climate. But yes- tenure and role definitely play a part too.
You would hope it would be fair by level and by time in role. Mine certainly was not reflective of my many years of service to the company. Pay through June 16th. Cheap terrible a-moral company this. Get out like a tiger is chasing you.
