According to information to EFN, telecom supplier Ericsson is close to firing CEO Börje Ekholm.
EFN has spoken to several centrally placed sources who say that it is the main owners Lundberg and Wallenberg, where the relationship with Ekholm has become "ice cold", who are about to change the CEO position. Two reasons are said to be behind the problem: Börje Ekholm's acquisition strategy in general, and the acquisition of US cloud services company Vonage, for which they paid SEK 63 billion.
The financial site writes that Wallenberg ran out of patience because of Ekholm's one-sided focus on the US.
EFN writes that most things point to Jan Carlsson, who is part of the board, taking over as the new CEO of Ericsson.
