managers use the performance process as a means of s-xual harassment. They undermine and demotivate the employee by doing performance improvement process. Instead of doing layoff , they make the employee forcibly resign and give up claims of suing. I think the law is very much against employees in such cause. I dont think there ever should be a clause to give up suing for 6 months salary . The statute of limitations for s-xual harassment should be removed

Hi,
This happened way back in 2007. I did a mistake in resigning for 6 months salary as my husband advised for it. One thing in my mind is why there should be a clause to giving up suing cisco. (but there are very good people at cisco too- maybe sue the personal money than the workplace as otherwise companies do not accept it) We can sue the lawmakers to impose such a law actually. This shows that cisco is afraid of it. I have the paperwork and voice recordings. misplaced it somewhere. I have let go know and do not react to it but still i want to find justice and something to prevent such things. I was a bit timid then but now have the courage to report to california employment board and fight for changing the laws(especially - statute of limitations - I have 2 witnesses whom i did not tell about it. They came to know by observation. It happens through the body language and words which may not make sense to another person. HR Comment was tell the wife instead of coming to me. Iam writing about it so that anybody experiencing it know that not reacting and pretending not to understand is a good option to buy time and collect evidence.
I was taken aback at the managers arrogance of power that a woman engineer will be afraid of job and subject to their advances. When i joined YMCA i came to know that other companies are also doing by passing messages through gym instructors . Iam researching more on social organizations who are helping these kind or power mongry people. I have let my experience transform into fighting these kind of ethic violations with chanakya neeti ( corporate chanakya) by DR.Radhakrishna pillai RAINN and YMCA lawyers do not take action against words etc. So i want to start an organization which can be a third party to fix ethics issues and work with government personnel. deal indirect tactics with indirect

cisco diesnt need s-xual harrassment to gdt rid if you. they nitpick on petty things and put you on a pip and then get rid of you. keep going until you are targeted. you will know and at that point let them fire you but never resign.
in a court of law firing is always better then resigning. also start talking about forming a union in tech. watch how fast they put you on the list to let go

You need proof when you file a lawsuit. Just words will not work.

You need paper trail. You also need to document your work and how it meets your goals. Your opinion might differ from others.

You also need witness to support if someone has seen it openly. Closed door, record it without his/her knowledge. Don’t tell anyone in your team or Company.

You need to contact lawyer and find out what evidence is required.

He/she said will it work in the court of law. Proof is required.

Is review back in Cisco ? They got rid of in 2014 or 2015.

Usually they do it behind your back . Your rating is also not shared with you.

You can ask your manger for “Compensation ratio”. 1.0 and above is good. If you are below 1.0, you can request a salary adjustment if you meet or exceed the rating.

They try to make you ambitious and a manager if you accept their affair arrangement .
