When I retired 5 years ago, I had mixed feelings about leaving in my late 50s but having elected to receive my RIGP pension in full, it surely made my eventual departure quite lucrative. Looking back now, had I decided to entertain the lingering doubts about leaving on my terms, I'd be kicking myself today and would have to deal with regret well into my retirement years. Leaving the Big X (now much smaller x) when I did was such a blessing that becomes more and more apparent with each passing year.

As long as you are breathing there is a better than average chance Xerox will lay you off. Hold your breath!

Stop looking for patterns. There are none. Has anything else we have done seemed planned and organized? BCG too busy cashing checks.

I though BCG Fires people on Tuesdays. I got canned on a Tuesday, and a bunch of other people got canned in different rounds on a Tuesday.
