“We have reviewed our business needs and your role is no longer required” letters were issued to dozens of IBM Consulting employees in Australia on Friday. Many client billable practitioners are impacted. As usual, many back office free riders are protected. There was NO advance consultation with Industry, Practice and account leaders, or even first line managers. A frenzied scramble is underway by the client Partners as they attempt to reverse decisions, shore up team morale and figure out how best to apologise to clients for outcomes that won’t be achieved. 15 months ago an external hire country managing partner was brought in to “turn around the business” but the death spiral only accelerates.

That was the day to start looking for a new job. 15 months is plenty of warning.

@ab+1jre8eqbw - What’s the RA process like for the US ?
Your badge won't work and your login accesses will be revoked. At best you will get a 2 minute scripted zoom call with your manager announcing your imminent departure since you are a "at will" employee.
I’m sure each countries has its own laws. I’m based in North Castle NY
What’s the RA process like for the US ?
Is it a meeting with your manager first then with HR? Are NDAs issued ?
