Shouldn't we have gotten info on them? The last email said they would be effective this month

“ Or retire in place like the rest of us <3”
That isn’t the rest of us. If by retire in place you mean collect a paycheck without actually working then speak for yourself. That is a spotlight on your character versus the badge of honor you seem to think it is.
Or retire in place like the rest of us <3
“ Anything less than three percent is cutting your salary and should be treated as such.”
So treat it accordingly then. I assume that means leaving SAS.
The idea that people are "well placed" is nonsense. If you aren't providing a percentage that keeps up with inflation you are actively taking purchasing power out of employees pockets. I can't afford the same things this year that I did last year on the same salary. That's how cost of living adjustments work. Anything less than three percent is cutting your salary and should be treated as such.
I know a lot of longtime employees who did get bonus this year.
I know a few longtime employees who got no bonus at all this year.
Only explanation given was that there was just not enough money to automatically give every employee a hefty bonus as in past years. That bonuses and raises and promotions would be hard to come by going forward.
Very sad for these friends. I guess this is how it will be now.
The bonus/salary/promotion info email from early March said the raise pool was lower than last year and the information would be shared in "late April" but effective April 1 typically. As they always say, "most people are already well placed within bands"...
Don't blame boomers for not getting a raise. Keep in mind that many of those boomers cranked out very marketable software during the glory years at SAS.
Don't blame tariffs either.
Majority blame should be directed towards a decade of high investment low return software that resulted in flat revenue. Same situation is the main impediment to a sale/IPO.
In the past there were some years SAS did not give out raises. I will not be surprised if they withhold raises this year, since they have the buyout and the layoffs at the same time.
You can ask your manager directly if you're getting a raise or not.
Sh-t! Anonymous @dk+1jre4bvgj heard that it will be rare to get raises from here on out!
boomers be mad bro - downvoting the truthful comment. all the money has gone to pay for retirement buyouts. from what I hear it will be rare now to get a raise from here on out.
Have I been banned? When I post from my PC now, they are quickly deleted (nothing incendiary about the ones deleted). Anyone else seen this?
I thought raises have typically started in the April paycheck?
The raises are in May. May has not arrived.
There's no money for raises. It all went to buy out the boomers who otherwise refuse to leave.
Bonus info has been shared but no one I know has gotten a raise.
In 2025, both raise and bonus are optional and that’s ok.
