Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Still one of the better options

I know this is an uncertain time and we are not used to this. Despite these layoffs, this remains one of the best places to work. Say what you will, but I have been here for five years and the pay, benefits, culture, atmosphere, and people have never been better. Keep that in perspective as you move through this period, especially before making any rash decisions like quitting.

Some of us have no choice because we live flights away. It’s an absolute horrible time for us to upend our lives like this with only a weekend’s notice. We have to leave our families and spend $700+ on hotels just to go to the office and barely work. That’s why for some of us, our lives really were flipped upside down.

Agreed. 10 years. I beam of Fannie Mae pride. We are a resilient company and we are in this together.
