Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Plano Office

Walked in this morning and noticed a handful of people trying to gain access only to be told by security that they no longer have it and to contact HR. Not sure if this is related to layoffs or if we're telling contractors that their services are no longer required.

Certainly more layoffs in the next 2 weeks or so, for employees. Not sure about contractors. Remote employees... not sure as if they follow the government's approach to remote workforce, they may lose some of those they really don't want to let go. If I were their head, I would probably want every function designated "must have" then offer buyouts if HR policy or laws allow cherry picking
