When you are asked to vacation coverage for people doing the same job as you, yet their comp is $150k higher, what do you expect? It’s not like those that are a salary grade 15 have vast trading experience. They came from BD or manager roles. They aren’t massively outperforming on benchmark relative to those making $150k less on their team.

Traders can see more into the future, so they will be the first, well the second after big company CEOs to jump out of the ship before it goes down. They have info that we do not. Watch for your management to silently put their house up for sale, schedule a moving company or mention a health issue suddenly. Crafty exit plans.
