I have been. It’s not easy, and it’s only going to get harder. Options are limited, but they’re still there. Don’t just stay here without taking action for your own benefit and wait for the axe to fall. We all know there won’t be a miracle – what I see is a slow wind-down until it’s all over. Don’t wait for the job market to become even more of a nightmare than it already is.

Be lucky you have a job. No such thing as a career anymore.
DEI hires are stuck at xerox. With sentiment shift of orgs now hiring based on merit, making a move is tough.
10 minutes given to xerox is 10 minutes too much.
For many, they are eyeing their retirement date, or an early retirement. Many in their 50s don't want to start over again and are fine if they get let go today or next year. Younger people should be looking.
I think it's laziness or lack of confidence. XRX is an easy place to work. Not much accountability for anyone. No real performance measures. The compensation will be hard to match externally for some. My mates are not seriously looking and I'm sorry that they will not take control of their own future. Every year older makes it harder to find something because age bias is real and pervasive. They are about to find out.
Everyone here has been warned time and time again. Everyone should have left long ago. But everyone knows best. Is it Denial? Laziness? Bull headedness ? Or is it Pride?
Regardless … you are a victim now. You were warned and didn’t believe the facts.
Your problems have just begun.
I did. And I was told by a wanna be that I was starting to be considered a “barrier”.
no you didn't 👇
I asked a bunch of hard questions a few weeks before I was IRIF’ed! Felt good.
4 dollars wow, Same low it was in 2000 when Ann almost filed ch 11. Classic 1970 top down management has ki-led the company, all leaders are mockingbirds saying what the CEO says, no asking hard questions how can we improve the business and listen, Nope just tell everyone what to do. Too bad, it’s a lie really bad management style but won’t ever change. Lexmark may help like GIS purchase helped a lot, immediately converting Ricoh and Canon to Xerox. Perhaps buy up more smaller dealers to increase sales in a business that is rapidly shrinking. Xerox needs to improve service level not keep watering it down. Pay down debt get to zero debt. Really poor board asleep at the wheel. Poor management strategy. Still a lot of legacy Xerox people who grew up in monopoly business.
Don’t believe the negative Nellie’s about a job. I was able to find one within weeks and I wish I would’ve done it sooner lol.
There is tons of opportunity out there. You just have to make it happen.
As for Xerox, they are sinking faster than the Titanic…
Took me a year and roughly 200 applications but I’m finally in the running for 2 excellent positions.

Your career is done. You could have landed a good job a couple years ago even with a non-transferable skill-set. You could have gained modern in-demand skills. But no - just pontificate and pretend you didn't dinosaur yourself.
