This will be a blip on the radar
It won’t be out of Alvinds funds. IBM has funds for this and as a result if it’s a multi million dollar settlement to cover that they will RA a few more people or ship the jobs to Alvinds beloved India

The IBM lawyers will arrange for a multi-million dollar settlement and, of course,an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) about the terms of settlement and the amount of money paid.
And they all walk away happy, except Alvind !
This defies all logic. Why would Arvind be concerned or unhappy about something you're already confident lawyers will just settle discreetly?
Whatever money from the lawsuit settlement doesn’t belong to the CEO , so the CEO will be happy when the lawsuit is settled
