McKee received 102.96 k shares of RSU in Dec 2024, the fifth highest executive grant...departure is not performance related. Note DW got 225k, Chapman/Williams got 124 k, and Mikelis got 111.6 RSU.

Note Mallom and MCkee both departed at about 60 age.

Maybe they are tired and need a break and have plenty of money.

ExxonMobil vice president McKee to retire, Crocker named successor

ExxonMobil announced Karen T. McKee, president of ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company and vice president Exxon Mobil (XOM) Corporation, will retire effective May 1, 2025. The Board of Directors has appointed Matt Crocker president, ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company and vice president Exxon Mobil Corporation. He will succeed McKee effective May 1, 2025.

“We thank Karen for her long-standing service to the company,” said Darren Woods, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Exxon Mobil Corporation. “In her more than three decades with the company, she’s made significant contributions to ExxonMobil in a wide range of roles across our Downstream and Chemical businesses.

The Management Committee and I sincerely wish her and her husband, Mark, all the best in retirement.” Crocker, who has been President, Global Business Solutions since 2023, joined the company in 1995 at the Fawley Refinery in the United Kingdom.

Prior to his current role, Crocker held a number of senior vice president and vice president positions across ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solutions, Product Solutions and Upstream businesses. Crocker also progressed through several positions in Refining and Chemicals across operations including Baytown, Baton Rouge and Fawley.

I worked with MC when he was the Upstream portfolio VP. Funny to see him in charge of the Downstream now when back then he stated that "only the Upstream really matters to the corp"

Karen is probably too old to be the next CEO since mandatory retirement age is 65 for officers and directors.

My guess is that the Board offered her a "sweetheart" deal to retire so that the next up President can get some experience to see if he/she can be the next CEO when Darren Woods retires.
