Thread regarding Ford layoffs

The next EV could be big

All the car companies are talking about getting cheap EVs on the road. With next gen tech, an affordable price, and Ford's manufacturing might, could the upcoming EV be a major winner?

Business continuity is about a short dip in performance followed by recovery. With that being said, if you have to invoke it every week, something bad is happening somewhere else and you should look into that. Planning either of these requires a very clear business impact assessment, hopefully with some quantitative analysis that enables us to do a cost/benefit analysis. Boston Consulting Group’s finest, Marin, surely considered this. In fact he would probably also chime in to mention it is not the same as disaster recovery, which details how the organization can recover from a - well, from a disaster, I guess. Did the plan get invoked yet? I’m sure we are smart enough to have resilience. Let’s think technical terms…resilience are things like multiple web servers behind a load balancer. Thus if one server fails, the others can take the strain. A chorus in music, if you like. Like layering multiple takes under the main vocal. Mmm, but only one load balancer? In only one availability zone of your cloud hosting provider? Hmm! The risk of a hot system in the context of a viral infection is that it's entirely possible that it, too, is infected. In such a case, it might be wiser to wait for the cold standby to come up. Those take time to warm up, but I’m sure we have that right? Let’s trust third parties and vendor lock in. Let’s NOT consider the loss of physical access when creating disaster recovery or business continuity plans. Right field? Right Marin? Right builders? You’ve been through this in your fancy ivy schools where you built stuff, right? Should we also tie this stuff to our broader ford ecosystem? To tap in? All preconceptions make it easier to show progress! We spent billions but we don’t know where yet….

Anti intellectualism baby! Make our state proud!

How many creative geniuses to yall have in your roster that are cracked enough to tap into strong action bias and be an inspiration to nurture more cracked individuals??

Or do we just need squares? Let’s think…

disaster recovery and business continuity plans, when implemented, should be followed. This in contrast to the creative thinking described in “The tensions of cyber-resilience - from sensemaking to practice” (https://law.uct.ac.za/sites/default/files/content_migration/law_uct_ac_za/1261/files/Dupont%2520-Shearing_SSRN.pdf) with regards to effective response to an incident - that is, a willingness to be creative and diverge from a playbook. No wait let’s take their credits for saving the day and pose them as rogue because they are too young to be given credit or equitable respect. Instead let’s keep them there and let’s actually disrespect him to lower inhibitions and say they went rogue for saving the day (again). Let’s drive away our talent from Michigan. Build up his energy to contribute where he’s respected instead. Let’s contribute to monumental brain drain

You've been saying this for years. Meanwhile, the company is losing billions. Benchmarking is about all you can do to BYD at this point. They have achieved escape velocity. Don't think you live in the same world we all do. Must be nice to have Model e propaganda on the brain. Makes you oblivious to what's actually happening. If anyone depends on you for anything, how unfortunate they are. You see success and run in the opposite direction. Fool.

Wish in one hand and cr-p in the other and see which one fills up first.

Model e tech? You mean a Mobile Eye camera? Autosar? Weren't they going to build this thing in Mexico because of cost? The Commerce Department is working as we speak to figure out how to tariff cars and car parts from Mexico.

Ford has benchmarked BYD vehicles and our next-gen products will be far more advanced. Model e technology will be next level in comparison.

Ford can't make money on a cheap vehicle. Haven't you noticed that all entry level vehicles have been dropped?

OP hasn’t even heard of BYD. What a maroon.

I mean, YOU GO YOU! Move your 401K into Ford stock!

Project T3. Now that customers are soured on the Cybertruck and nobody is buying the Silverado EV, the next gen Lightning with Model e features will take the market.

Ford Manufacturing might be overpaid to make and design recall fodder

The next generation tech is tarriffed and overhyped so will never be affordable but it will be bankrupting us and spying on us.
