@f4+1jqq61366 thinks IT means Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams. Which means they’re a mo--n.
Good luck with the other 50 systems your job relies on everyday that you don’t think about because they just work. When you stop getting your paycheck or can’t check work orders or generate a BOL maybe you’ll remember.
@fd+1jqq61366 that person may be clueless but no one has explained or countered yet..........
@f4+1jqq61366
Sorry, but you are clueless....
Someone explain why leading performance, benchmarking, decline curve analysis is hard to do and why there are so many petrotechs doing those things instead of actually finding oil and getting it out of the ground.
Why are all the IT people on here complaining so much? Is it that difficult to manage some Microsoft apps being downloaded and paying for cloud storage? Seriously....someone please explain why IT is so difficult at cvx.
Nobody cares about IT.
Do you need IT experience to layoff IT staff?
did you forget who our CFO is? she has no finance degree or experience
Bunch of old heads that are hanging on to a job they have no business having.
Business knowledge is great and all but we’ve had too many IT leaders for too long who don’t know about any new technologies after 2000. IT leaders with no technical credibility cannot be successful in leading the function.
Just like at Luz. Failed all the way up. Never accomplished a single thing.
Bro this company’s a joke lmaooooo what happened to us
@a7+1 - DOGE has been a disaster. The last thing we want CVX to do is DOGE on any department.
I am sure the company spends a boat load of money on IT, but where does the money come from? How about operations/production. This could be a DOGE moment to focus IT on making money for the company.
LC already has SB who has business knowledge on his LT. This role for CE makes no sense other than to save another MCP FE person from the reduction of those roles all throughout the company.
If anything, he should’ve put CE in the surface/HSE role. This IT governance/execution/strategy role really makes little sense for someone like CE.
Probably hipo, knows people, and LC wants an iota of business knowledge in IT
I have never worked at a company so willing, even excited, to put people in positions they have no background in. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.
