Anything is better than this cr-ppy place. I'd consider being laid off a blessing.

It is a blessing if severance is offered, but the market is tough right now. I dont see how the people who make the decisions to let people go can sleep at night. There have been a few that that were let go not due to performance but from awful leadership.
Lot of whiners on here. Don’t like it, quit. I’m guessing a lot of IT people, which to be fair have a right to complain as IT senior leadership has generally been poor, but not all of them. Anyone else I am guessing is an underperformer or feeling entitled as if PepsiCo is a charity. Tough times happen. I lived through several over 28 years. Man up so to speak, get it done, or quit. Just stop whining.
so true! Stay away from S&T and DPA
This place is good for a paycheck.
I guess it depends on how long you can sit on the nail before you scream or your personal situation. The market is brutal. I think some people have a strong network hence they can find a job immediately. If you don’t have a strong network outside of Pepsi, stay as long as you possibly can. The job market is slow.
@av+1jqp9dxn0-I cannot see how leaving for another job at this point is less favorable than remaining in this horrid declining organization. The constant uncertainty is as bad or worse than the unknown of joining a new organization. As for working remotely - the failures who run this place have already hinted that “benefit” will be gone soon. Then, add to that the nearly non existent salary increases, piling on of more work as they outsource and move every job they can to Mexico or India, is there really any decision to be made? If one can find another reasonable job and leave this horror show - do it now.
Because I am too old to start over, the devil I know, I can deal with! The devil I don't know is the scary part looking outside of PepsiCo! Can I get similar pay and benefits? Will I have the same knowledge advantage I have here? Can I continue to work from home or will I need to start going into an office? Will I be forced to move? So many unknowns!
