They and no one else will be loving it when they see the prices they will pay as consumers. Also won’t be loving it when the recession hits and they are laid off. We had strong employment and job creation numbers when T came in. Already heading down and worse to come. Suspect they also will not care for it as we lose the ability to sell in many/most global markets because our bully tactics have made us untrustworthy as well as royally ticking off consumers in other countries. Our trade partners are actively seeking new trade partners and those are partners we will not get back. But yeah. Go ahead and talk about how great it is.
That the USA can't make it's own products due to offshoring is a risk to our national security, safety, freedom, and economic wellbeing.
The whole idea is stupid. Trump is only in office for 4 years. For auto companies to build new plants, staff them up and get producing parts/vehicles. Its going to takes 2-3 years at least. By that time democrats or some other republican could come back into office and undo everything trump just did. Its not worth it. Then trump is talking of removing the emission equipment off vehicles, that would take 1-2 years for ford to remove the equipment and redo all the vehicle software calibrations and recertify the vehicles. The companies only logical choice is to su-k it up, pay the tariffs and wait it out.
Stellantis was rumored is revive their Belvidere plant. Says thats going to take 2 years. I dont know of many mothballed Ford plants sitting around. You cant count Oakville in canada anymore, and mexico does not count.
Billy and Jimmy still shipping engineering, design, testing out of the USA along bringing in H1B's.
Brazil, Mexico, India...
Well of course they love it! It means greater job security, greater number of jobs, and more leverage to bargaining. DERRRPPP.
First time at the rodeo, Scooter?
