You can bet your bottom dollar that this article has Sabre itself as a source, and that this is being released to the press because no one they've spoken to is biting.
No surprise. Former Sabre exec here who tried to do the right thing during my tenure; learned integrity and honesty were not in the Sabre playbook and moved on. Sabre has been trying to sell the Hospitality Solutions business unit and their “SynXis” piece of cr-p solution for years. I was hired as an advisor several years ago to one of these deals based on my Sabre/HS background. Sabre had slick packaging; when I was done peeling the onion and everyone realized the outdated and antiquated technology … and the mo--nic management in place … BO-M! Implosion and no deal. Clinton understood the issues and how to move the company forward. No one listened to him. So he walked … like many of us. SynXis .. GDS … Sabre … all antiques just like my Commodore 64, Tape Backups and Retread Tires … which is exactly what the entire Sabre Executive Team are.
