Can you get the full severance and start a new job right away?

Yes the commute is certainly a waste for those who are actually getting work done and are productive at home. Unfortunately for Chevron, that represents less than 1% of their entire workforce.
The commute is such a waste for those of us who are actually getting work done from home and are productive there. In office interaction is so minimal for so many and just in teams meetings all day from a cube. It will be even worse once more work is offshored.
No, I've been told you have to come in to the office and do whatever is required, handover work, etc., if you want to receive full severance without penalty, etc. You can't just sit at home doing nothing, although I realize many of you have been doing that and only that all along.
Any AEOI's getting pushed to still come in the office for last few weeks on the job or boss is fine with just working from home? Would any days missed in office in the HR reports put severance at risk?
The only thing to watch for is that you continue to meet all reqs to get severance. It’s a careful dance
That’s the plan, nothing stopping you
Once you reach your last day on the payroll, you will receive a Docusign agreement. You will have 60 days to return in the agreement so you can receive your severance payout.
yes. you can. confirmed
