seriously worst company I worked for. Extremely top heavy management absolutely clueless. They spend alot of time tearing each other down. Unbelievable nonsense actually. Most give out nonsense work just to waste time.. I don't get this logic other than to purposely make yourself "valuable". I didn't need this bs so I just did my work 9-5 and that's it. I didn't listen to the nonsense complaints or improvements from my manager (lol) so I simply looked elsewhere. I knew bonuses and severance is baloney.

H1B workers were supposed to be used when a company could not find enough
qualified people.
Not to replace U.S workers to cut cost. Sorry companies for too long have lied and taken advantage of the H1B system to replace their workers.
At many companies the ratio is 80% H1B workers 20% U.S workers.
I too work at State Street for 25 years and so my entire department replaced by H1B workers.
I worked at SS my entire career. 35
Years and yes the work place is now toxic but SS is not the only co using h1b. SS has to remain competitive with all financial institutions who are themselves transitioning to offshore labor.
Layoff and freeze.
Pity the few few remaining U.S workers who are not only doing a double workload.
But are asked by their boss to fix all the mistakes made by the H1B workers.
When they had qualified U.S workers the company ran like a well oiled machine.
The company culture totally reeks as a regular employee. The only people that leaves positive feedback in the employee surveys are the senior leaders that enich themselves by terminating employees. Sure, they're lowering company expenses and increasing profits, but its creating more problems and becomes more costly to fix the mistakes in the long term.
The workers that didn't get cut, end up taking on more responsibilities and workload with embarrassing low or ZERO raises and bonuses. This is by design to force the employee to quit so they can be replaced by cheaper labor (inexperience workers and overseas workers). The leaders prefer you suffer and doubt yourself, rather put you out for misery by laying you off and pay you severance.
If Ron and any others executives are reading this, keep this in mind that all employees at State Street despised you.
That goes to any employees that you are interacting daily, monthly, and quarterly. If they're agreeing with everything you say, it's to get something from you. But deep down they all hate you because you pay consultant firms to help make id--tic decisions for the company. You're all delusional to think people see you with admiration and respect.
