Fake smiles? More like a grin because they know you are going under the bus. It’s tough, I know, but the best thing you can do is vent and vent like you’re about to fu--ing sm--k them. I find this usually helps. It helps too when they want to put extra cr-p on your workload the they can’t/wont do. They eventually learn to just fu-k off and leave you alone. Makes for an easy workplace, still doesn’t mark it better unfortunately.

Town hall Q&As are nothing more than staged performances. Since the pandemic, leadership has become increasingly skilled at exploiting the hard-earned money of the most vulnerable employees.

Nobody should be surprised at this. Leadership was whispering sweet nothings in our ears while simultaneously picking our pockets during the pandemic. Then they expected us to celebrate how well the business did on the back of our stolen 401K money. I submitted at least 12 questions about this for town halls and all we got buzz words and fake rallying cries.
