Anyone hear of anyone who has been able to take a pay cut or any other way out of RTO?

@a17 They need to justify their RE expenses. More sardines in the can=better value.. So, "collaborate".
PS Why do these corporate leaders just plagiarize each other? Elon and Tim did it, so we must too. Stupid.
Neither is one's own desk at their home, and it's shameful that the company chooses to hide behind the "improved collaboration" facade vs. the real reason RTO- money. If it were truly about improving collaboration, they'd force specific departments to work in a specific office location, not allow multiple. As a result you have people sitting at an office desk on teams calls all day long with people sitting at office desks in other offices. The company is lying to their people.
@9a5 Chandler is not a terrible place to live and work.
Why would you feel the need to take a pay cut?
I'd be shocked if any of those reasons worked, as they would want verification, and the last one wouldn't work as what difference does it make if you sit at home vs. an office?
These worked...
“I’m currently the primary caregiver for an immunocompromised family member, and exposure to public spaces poses too much risk.”
“My childcare provider is no longer available, and I have no immediate alternatives. I need to be home to care for my child during the day.”
“I’m recovering from a recent medical procedure, and my doctor has advised against commuting or sitting for extended periods.”
Yep as well as office location strategy.
