Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

WTF is happening in Australia

What’s happening with the Australian affiliate. Heard the townhall got moved to May; any sign of the operator transition to Woodside?

As a newbie, rule 1 is don’t trust Exxobmobil. They will get rid of you in a heartbeat. Look after yourself and look after your family.

I'm in the Australian affiliate and relatively new in my career, can anyone please share more details? As my luck would have it, I just bought a house, so hoping this isn't true :(

Notice how the Australians and Europeans have all gotten cushy roles. Self preservation at the expense of the unprotected.

Watch out Australia after the UK town hall. Unfortunately, you will likely to be next so Darren can show reduced headcount before YE25.

Writing has been on the wall for a long time. The real question is what will happen to all of the Australians out on the expat circuit? I’m surprised they haven’t been sent packing already considering they are some of the most expensive of the HC10 employees.

Please stop adding salt to wounds. Australia is a well known dying liability which we need to dispose of… diplomatically.

It’s is inevitable.

Sorry to hear. All signs indicate a painful decline.
Future assets will be in US, Guyana maybe Africa (given least restrictions). Future jobs will be in third world countries or low cost centers.
Plot your exit plan.
