Do we think senior leadership will actually action anything?

No they won't
It's such a waste of time
5 mins to fill the survey with 8000 employees = 40000 man minutes = 67 man-hours approximately
1 hr review by manager
1 hr review by VP
1 hr review by CEO
Total 24000 man hour wasted.
Impact is 0
No action taken.
No body cares about Illumina anymore... It's just paying bills until the next job
Anyone have insight into the comments? Bet they are 🔥
They never do anything after ipulse survey. My mgmt was focused on getting 100% participation vs other teams. It wasn’t about doing anything to improve. They got feedback that people didn’t understand how to get promoted….they released very unclear info after that. If you are a favorite of upper mgmt…that’s when you’ll get promoted. Also don’t file any HR complaints- you’ll find yourself on layoff list quickly!
In certain department in APAC, the department senior management using the real time participation coverage report to drive up participation rate by sending gentle reminder to surveyee. Guess what is the gentle reminder 😁😁)
Their reporting managers will check on the worker to ensure that all are done. Thus high survey participation with staged rating show case their fake popularity (FEEL GOOD FACTOR).
So NOT doing the survey with the mandatory predetermined rating of 4 or 5 in this department is a NO NO 😅😅as it has dire consequences.
Well, at the end of the day how can Illumina recover fast from it current predicament if no one drive the real changes.
I hope they sued for retaliation.
One manager consistently delivered results despite having only four direct reports. However, when they received a negative rating, they were upset and kept holding meetings with the team to find out who was responsible and why they gave that rating. Later, when the company conducted a RIF in February, they made sure to include those responsible for the negative rating in the layoffs. It's best to ignore it; nothing good will come from it.
Way back in the day this was called The Power of i Survey. Pretty much every year without fail, the most common theme was “Not enough time or resources to do quality work”. It was consistently ignored then, (I know, I was in management and reviewed the results). I’m sure little has changed.
As a former manager, we could see how many responses we received and comments, but not who made the comment.
It is naive to believe iPulse result will help to bring positive changes to the state of surveyee at APAC region.
The survey results are already compromised when certain
department senior management down to manager has given directive to their ground worker only to choose above rating of 3. ( 4 or 5).
They discourages negative feedback being made through iPulse, they wanted any negative feedback to be offline and be brought to his or his managers attention. (They must be kidding why worry if they has been doing a good job)
Also, adding another layer of reminder the management also inform the surveyee result is not confidential as it will be make known the manager impacted for them to address. . (WHAT?? ARE WE SERIOUS)
So iPulse should be rename as IPAUSE. Why? Because surveyee needs to Pause, think hard before giving the rating after the management prompting.
Unless, the global senior management or ELT looks closely into the result of certain department with constantly HIGH OR GOOD rating to determine the validity.
Otherwise it is just an exercise to look and feel good, with predetermined data.
Don’t think will change anything. Boycott this survey is best voice.
Low participation rate to signal frustration!
anonymous? it requires signing in
even if it isn’t who tf cares, just write what you think after sleeping on it
I know its anonymous but besides the comments, can they see individual responses?
