YES! A CEO who actually knows the business, understands finance, and can talk to both a crowd and a single human—what a concept! Please, make him permanent and show the consultant impostors the door. We swear, not a single soul will ask for pet insurance ever again if you do!

They are going to do a whole song a dance when we all know CP will be promoted
Omg JB, the former CFO, and DS, his replacement, are the one two punch that tanked the company. DS's base experience was in mergers and acquisitions which is why he was hired. We see how that turned out. The stock is the same as it was as when he was hired in 2016. Wtf. Smh.
You all do understand that JB was the CFO prior to CEO years ago? This company is such a joke now. Time for CP to be canned too.
Through the last several years and the countless town hall meeting DS was the only guy who was transparent about things being not so good. The others would just smile and tell us how great everything was going to be. Remember being told the hiring process was being out in steroids?
Well, the internet never disappoints! Seeing the comments about our leader and the Crown Castle news is pretty funny. Seems like the "announcing departure then staying" has sparked some interesting reactions.
My guess is that he's not exactly losing sleep over the comments, especially when you see the kind of 💰 he's getting to stay put. Those financial details are pretty public, after all!
You can't really blame someone for making the same decision when millions of dollars are involved. It's probably less about stubbornness and more about a very attractive offer. Good for him.
The first time DS said he was quitting, we lost JB. The second time DS said he was quitting, we lose SM. This guy is like the grim reaper for CEOs with his pattern of “I’m taking my ball and going home” nonsense.
Great choice for an interim CEO. A guy who can’t make up his mind about his own career. This should end very well.
SM did what he was hired to do, sell fiber and small cell. The break up between him and Crown puts him as the perfect scapegoat moving forward. Whoever the new CEO ends up being can always blame any mess on him and his predecessor. Stock is down? Mass layoffs are happening? Not their fault because those things were set in motion before the new CEO’s arrival. It’s part of their plan to try to put the past behind them while knowing there is still a rough road ahead.
One trick pony ✂️ ✂️ ✂️
SM was terminated for lying about his college degree as well as being just a one trick pony type of guy.
DS was let go by JB for not agreeing with the relo…
@a7+1jq4zrye4 No you’re a numb skull. You forgot to read the fine print. He’s basically leading until his successor is identified:
“As previously announced, Mr. Schlanger will continue to serve as the Company’s CFO until April 1, 2025, at which time Sunit Patel will assume the role of EVP and CFO. Mr. Schlanger will serve as interim CEO until a successor CEO is identified and appointed, at which time the Board intends to appoint him as Chief Transformation Officer, in which he will be responsible for overseeing the completion of the Company’s sale of its small cells and fiber solutions businesses, which is expected to close in the first half of 2026.”
So much for a long term vision as a pure play tower company. What a joke.
He’s only the interim CEO until April 1. That’s a week and a half.
Meh. Somebody that has throw a temper tantrum twice and left is now interim ceo and later chief transformation officer. Its only a matter of time before he takes his ball and leaves, again. Third times a charm. Not saying he's not nice, he's just a baby when he doesn't get his way.
Funny how DS keeps getting ousted then invited back. Like the 10th time this happened. Whats the deal with this.
Finally a CEO who didn’t lie about his educational credentials! Board is definitely checking this site.
Thinking the 2-3 consultant leaders who keep disliking anything against them are still at it. DS is solid, he didn’t agree with the past CEO decisions so don’t assume because he was here it was his call. Seriously after all the bad decisions and doom announcements finally a ray of hope!
A smart CEO? You do realize he was part of the EMT when Crown bought all those garbage fiber companies with only the short term in sight. He was also there when they designated your role to Houston. He is no different than anybody else who has been there the last 10 years.
Omg I came here to post the same thing. I was always rooting for DS and was sad that he was leaving. This seems like a great move, to put someone who seems to really care about the future of CCI at the helm. Yay.
