I saw a comment in one of 3M's posts saying: "3M soon to be Honeywell - talks going now"
is there any truth behind this or just a troll comment?

Major shareholders need to rise up and oust the criminals that are currently holding senior leadership positions in 3M.
Most likely outcome going forward in the next 5 years or so :
- 3M goes bankrupt
- It is broken up into 3 or more pieces to " unlock more shareholder" value
It’s not just a question of selling a business, you have to have a willing buyer. Who wants to buy the mess that Mike Roman and his band of thugs have created?
just a troll, but murmurs were starting about possibly selling off old M as the spinco was going to take centre stage. There is too much overhanging problems to put through a sale of old M. The bosses will again open this sell off up in several years after the earplug, PFAs are dealt with, Old M actually will start to improve its lie of the land over the next 18 months
