Thread regarding IBM layoffs

MCC going to 500 ppl in low cost centers

More than 2000 professionals will have their lives destroyed so the cretin from McKinsey can get his bonus. Left overs can be in swamp of India, some favela in Brazil, or some eastern euro he-l hole as long as not in the eurozone so they can keep paying slave labor. If you’re in MCC Protect yourself. Spend 90% of your day working to leave as soon as you can.

" younger, cheaper darker, hungrier from India, maths is very simple"

What's a 'maths'?
Is that some sort of lesser mathematics?
You forgot d-mber, unable to think abstractly, and having less integrity.
This forgets the fact that none of these wizards can create their own company?
Sigh, I wish they could since they could stick it to IBM.

What is your point ? If Indians like Alvind are able to create garbage and cr-p out of the English language and they do, then it is time that the rest of the world learned to do the same. And beat the freaking Indians at their own game. India has yet to show that they are capable of high volume manufacturing like China and other Asia countries. DEI is nothing but a blip on the radar screen of time and it's not coming back anytime soon. Agent Orange got elected because people in the US got sick and tired of the garbage that came from the DEI ideas for the past 4 years. Alvind and the Pipmunks embraced DEI without thinking of the long term consequences, and you reap what sow. If you don't like what you have, go elsewhere; there is some place for everyone. Like Haiti and Venezuela...they are near shore to the US compared to India. People can and will learn if given the opportunity. Where's there's a will, there's a way.

In MCC….you need 3-4 people globally to do 1 US employee can do. Fact and I have seen this time and time again.

Racism and xenophobia aside, when the "official" production language of IBM marketing materials is U.S. English, it is inconceivable how a writer who knows English only as a second language could create exceptional assets. No one except someone who has lived U.S. English since birth could possibly grasp the nuances of the language by studying it as a "subject." Passable, understandable English is quite often practiced by ESL writers. But there are subtleties and idiomatic word uses that only a native U.S. English-speaking person could grasp. But as has been said in this forum before, recently Alvind made it clear quality is not job one at IBM. Instead, profits and greed are the driving forces now. So sad.

HCM and globalists in the name of “helping” other nationalities and scamming Americans (abusing American data)

Long history of this

Recently was on a call with CSR leadership…all I can say is WOW and kept thinking how the heck did some people get this job. Looked to me as a perfect D&I lineup with little/no skills for the role…. Shame, shame, shame because there are some good people on that team.

Hope you got your diversity bonus!!

It’s been a tough few weeks in MCC for sure … even before JA’s Tuesday call, other countries were having their 15 min slots scheduled for the annual cull. Lots of very skilled, experienced, talented folk being shown the door. It was clear this was going to happen as soon as CC was appointed. But let’s not descend into casual racism and xenophobia through all this. Our values should hold strong even when leaders and ghouls make poor decisions that impact us personally. There are fabulous people, friends and colleagues working in those low cost countries too. In the face of our own pain, can we please still be respectful?
