Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

You’re better off in an actual circus

This is by FAAAAR the most unprofessional place I have ever worked in. At least a circus is fine, this here is just painful and regretful. When the manager finally becomes director (sic) after 30yrs, you get an insane, lazy egomaniac who, in other organisations, would only be an administrator to the administrator or office parrot at best.

aramco is just another third-world gig. No reason for anyone with a choice to join. If you’re from the US you’d be nuts to join (muzzies second passports excepted)

What kind of company cuts benefits by 30% without consultation? What kind of company constantly lies about the expat experience. The company is nothing more than a graft engine for locals with the right family name.

The man you are following is the Director or Manager of your department. If you let on about his wet thobe or skidmark because it becomes the expats fault.

Ahhhh, nothing like heading into a toilet covered wall to wall with water, then going to a sink where the entire lower half of the mirror is covered in water, sink counter top covered in water, then exiting right behind a man with his thobe stuck in the crack of his a$$ with a plate sized water stain on his butt, or worse, a skid mark as he heads to get a Tea.

This site attempts to let prospective employees know what they are getting into. Welcome to worklife he-l. Lying, lazy, backstabbing, and entitled locals. The summer heat makes you crazy along with the locals washing their dirty stinking feet in the sinks before going to pray. Just disgusting.

Yet, it is your chosen place of employment, so deal with it.

During childhood, some people dream of running away to join a circus. Many do when they are misled when joining Aramco.

Walk the wire with no safety net?, Maybe having to put your head in the Lions mouth over nothing?

I guess the novelty wears off juggling with the locals clowns. Too many dream running away from the psycho circus. It will never change.

At least the circus animals don't wash their feet in the sink.....and the clown car is much safer than Saudi roads. Do the animals and clowns marry and mate with thier cousins?

Been that way for a while. Commerce is downstream from culture. Everything is downstream from culture.
