Thanks, @aw+1jpe4sbdt.

@ae+1jpe4sbdt, I can’t give details without identifying individuals, but all of us suggested alternatives to management decisions.

Management did not tolerate constructive criticism. In retaliation, several of us were PIP’d, and eventually decided to leave. One was immediately forced out.

In all cases, the charges were false or exaggerated. We had only been trying to help. It didn’t matter. HR supported the managers. Individuals with suggestions were punished for questioning their direction.

IMO this is the main reason SAS has declined. They consistently discouraged ideas, stifling innovation. At this point, it’s clear that management could have used some better ideas, because the company is laying off. But there is no comfort in being right.

Happily, I have heard the same rumor as @c5+1jpe4sbdt. If you’re over 60, expect good news 😊.

“Holy sh-t are you sensitive. How is asking for supporting details an act of feeling “threatened”…..”

Its not the skepticism, it’s the ahole tone, ahole.

“For those 60 and over by April 30th who have been hoping for something, tomorrow your hopes will be fulfilled. The good doctor is a kind man.”

I would love for that to be true, but not sure I believe. Can you provide any details?

“Unlike our friend @ae+1jpe4sbdt, I am not threatened by an anonymous account of lived personal experience, however detailed. Neither am I compelled to invite skepticism “

I like details to support such assertions. What a threatened, insecure fool that makes me.
I like details because they help inform my opinion (even when anonymous).

Why are you so threatened by an skepticism and a questioning mind?

Hello @a7+1jpe4sbdt,
Unlike our friend @ae+1jpe4sbdt, I am not threatened by an anonymous account of lived personal experience, however detailed. Neither am I compelled to invite skepticism because you provided no information which might be used to identify you for any reason, not even insatiable personal curiosity. I respect your decision to contribute to the discussion and acknowledge that I have no right to demand additional identifying detail from you, however minor and inconsequential that detail might be perceived to be. I am free to accept or reject the account because I, and only I, am the ultimate arbiter of what I choose to believe.

This post is not sarcasm. This post is a gentle reminder to our friend that their participation here, too, is neither mandatory nor required. I am sure they have more fulfilling and interesting things to do with their life, and should remember that no one owes them the answers to which they obviously feel entitled.

“ Many of us questioned its direction. We got punished for that, so we left.”

Let’s hear the specifics of your mechanism for “questioning its direction”.and getting punished for it.

What was your punishment?

If this happened to many of you and you already left then there should be no harm in divulging as it would be hard to pin back to one of many. And you left anyway.

Expect layoffs. Maybe VRBPs for old folks. Nothing else.

This is a shrinking company. Many of us questioned its direction. We got punished for that, so we left.

We wish you all the best. But we tried our best, and our best was not wanted.

You will get out, get pushed out, or get bought out. That's what you can expect.
