Thread regarding Ovintiv layoffs

Fiscal year

April is coming. What are opinions on OVV becoming more efficient going into the new fiscal year? Can we expect more optimization particularly in US operations, where it is badly needed. M and A activity incoming?

If you’ve been patiently waiting around here for 2 weeks for a RIF then you’re obviously part of the problem. You’re obviously in Denver or The Woodlands. We are under staffed in Calgary and don’t have time to wait around “patiently”. I can’t wait until all US assets are a distant memory.

It’s been about 2 weeks….patiently waiting for this RIFF and Reorg…any more light to shed here?

Two weeks…be prepared for a RIF and reorg of all functions.

Your comments are assuming a competent executive team. OVV has hands down the most incompetent executive team in O&G.

Divest what? The Permian is where OVV needs to be and OK is a cash flow driver. More likely merge with another smaller producer or an acquisition by a larger player?

I would expect more divestures by OVV in the US and more acquisitions in Canada. One step closer for BM moving back home……and destroying more shareholder value.
