Medtronic is not the company I thought it was when I joined. It could have been a leader in creativity and innovation, offering jobs that any engineer or designer would dream of. Instead, I feel like a drone. I’ve been here for over five years, and nothing has changed, except for the worse. The only reason I’m still here is because options have been limited, and that won’t change anytime soon.

Definitely don't feel like what I do matters anymore at Medtronic. The only reason I've stayed so long was because my role stayed remote and I was able to pick up a second job. If and when Medtronic cans me I'll start traveling since my other job doesn't require me to stay in MN...
Same, I would probably be happier if there were more opportunities to grow my career.

Do not quit unless you have a new job. Make them fire you
My man, if you aren’t happy go find your next.
If you are struggling to find your next, you might reconsider your hope to have your employment terminated.
At the end of the day, you have got to watch out for yourself and do what’s best for you. If Medtronic isn’t best for you, you don’t owe the company Jack squat and you’re free to go.
Life is short friend, don’t spend it being unhappy.
