Am I the only one who's considering leaving for lower pay just to get away from this place? I've worked at cr-ppy companies before, but Medtronic truly takes the cake.

Not to be a contrarian, but what company has a culture that you’re envious of?
All large corporations are this same garbage, and the small shops don’t seem to offer the work/life balance, stability or compensation you get here.
Personally, I’ve had the most fun in my career during bo-m/growth periods, unfortunately no industry/company seems to be in that mode right now. I don’t predict a return to that mode for a number of years, but hey at least we got rid of DEI, right? /sarcasm
The fear of layoffs is causing people to become individualists and therefore putting themselves before the project team. You are on your own.
Company politics is an old game, but the level of ignorance in leadership here at every level is shocking, especially given the talent at the individual contributor level. I'm concerned about what this place is doing to my mental health.

Yup I took a pay cut in 2023 when let go, but I'm making well over 10% more what I was previously at Big Blue who is outsourcing all jobs to India and Ireland for pennies on the dollar in wages.
