Severance Package Question.

Would you mind sharing with us what kind of severance package you received? Did you receive any money, and how long can you keep your health insurance? Thanks, and best of luck!

"Severance pay?!?!? Everyone (480 I.T. people) that was FORCED to go to Accenture was sc--wed. You either take the job at Accenture or quit without severance. What a wonderful choice from such a wonderful company."

This is why I chose to leave Accenture—after more than 25 years of service, L3Harris (including Kim and the directors who left shortly after) still expected me to support them as if nothing had changed. Sure. F*** L3Harris.

I got one week’s pay for each year I was with the company and they cancelled my insurance that day. Normally you get until the end of the month, but this is L3Harris we are talking about here. The most humiliating part was having to hand over my badge and then being walked out of the building.

One of the people I spoke to today said his insurance ended at midnight last night. He had 6-7 years with the company, was overloaded with DL project work and a solid performer. He was pretty critical to our project in my opinion, I’m not sure how the decisions are made.

The company policy, which is out there on the intranet, says 1 week per year up to 52 weeks, employee insurance at the same rate/coverage for the same number of weeks, and after you sign the NDI, they will give you 30 days to change your mind, then they will cut you one check for the whole amount, minus taxes. Where I am, salary people don't accrue sick or PTO, so no pay for those if you are salaried.

Usually one week's pay for every year of service and reimbursement of whatever accrued vacation time you have not used. Your health insurance coverage will end the day of your termination.
