When will this end? Good luck to us all.

IMS is having a town hall Wednesday at MAS in Mirabel, QC, Canada. I'm assuming but not sure the layoffs will continue (in Canadian divisions) and be done by Wednesday.

My senior manager knew I was being let go, but being the coward he is, he didn't have the guts to tell me. Hopefully he will get a taste of what he did to me and my family.

The money saved from reductions in force have enabled the company to upgrade the Clifton facility. New carpets, new furniture, and to reflect the company's talent retention policy, spiffy new revolving doors.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

I work at one of your competitors. But I am very sorry when anyone has to go through this, and its happened to me multiple times. Its never easy. I never keep much of my own stuff in my office for this reason. Longest job was 12 years, and like others mentioning it here, we had no idea it was coming. A mass meeting with everyone that was hit. For me, im in the sunset of my career and its only 4 years away, but much can happen in 4 years. I've been called the glue that holds several projects together, but they can always find new sources of glue. I like where I am at. Its a great location that treats the folks well, but I know in the back of my mind that tomorrow might be the last day.

I wish you all the best of luck. Times are hard. This makes it harder.

Nearly 10 years in SAS and they basically hung up on me in the exit interview. If you could call it an interview, the call was less than 5 minutes. Learned more to come after Q1, probably 2% RIF company wide. (Do the math, that's about 800+ people company wide.

" I think I'm going to quietly go upstairs before anyone else in my group gets here and gather my things without saying a word and leaving, and never coming back."

Go for it. But remember to wipe your a-s with your badge before you drop it in the mailbox.

Sitting in the parking garage in Clifton right this second. Drinking my coffee waiting to go upstairs. I'm early because I couldn't sleep. This really su-ks. I have a meeting with my manager today. I'm not going to show up for it. I think I'm going to quietly go upstairs before anyone else in my group gets here and gather my things without saying a word and leaving, and never coming back. They can sit there wondering where I went. I don't give a cr-p about anything any more. So sick of this. Fu-k this company.

Communications Systems hit as well but it seems Space and Airborne Systems hit the hardest at multiple locations. More deeper cuts to SAS coming Thursday (today).

I was told it was a skip level meeting. But it was an ambush. I was let go by someone I've never met. My manager had the layoff list since Monday and never said a word. All these years working together and I get blindsided. He could have said something. I barely had time to take my personal belongings. Curse this company and everyone who stays loyal to it.

Also very true. They disguised the meeting as a skip level meeting. Invited HR on private so I couldn’t see it. Read from a script and was over in 5 min.

My group SAS Accounting Wednesday, 4 let go, 2 level 5s and 2 level 4s. The Director was reading a script and HR couldn't answer any questions they kept saying it would be in the package we going to send you in the email. This company is not going anywhere with this mentality and leadership if you can just exit on your own do it. I am sure in 3-6 months will go through the same drama again.

No email yet saying it's over for now. That usually means more today. Seems like L4 and L5 pay grades affected most. Anyone charging a lot of IDL, and in some locations, many operations people like EMAs, Test Techs and MEs. A few program managers and planners as well. Clifton was hit pretty hard all day long yesterday with more coming today. (Thursday). Some have taken vac. time until Monday to avoid the inevitable. But, they will be seen Monday.
