And here we are at 47.00 plus. All oil stocks are down and will go back up and down again. Oxy share price will have to go much lower to get the attention needed for a buyout. Oxy was not bought out a much lower prices, so I really don’t think 45 is the magic number. Add in the debt at 45 and the price is much higher for a buyout.

With that said, I am a bit hypocritical as Fred T ru-p should have a bort ed Donald T ru-p almost 80 years ago. That would have saved many more lives than were lost on Piper Alpha.

Doubt anyone has the cash to buy Oxy right now, but all companies need to buy or get bought, there is always a bigger fish out there, but you gotta be the big fish. In the meantime you can play with a rusty rebar wherever fits you.
