I am not clear what all the whining is about. Coforge is a $6bn company with a share price of $7830 (a little higher than Sabres). 25000 employees and a 4 year contract. Make the most of it. It feels to me like a pretty good deal with opportunities for expansion.

This has not been explained at all by Ekert. Why is Sabre paying for Coforge services now? Doesn't the company already pay for a "partnership" with Google for exactly this stuff?
Why is it a good thing for Sabre in any way shape or form to be paying a third-party company cost + profit to innovate on behalf of Sabre (and of the rest of the market)? The "supercharged" word salad of the press release just doesn't cut it as an explanation.
And these questions arise even before looking into whether or not Coforge are even good at what they do.
Could be a good thing for lucky ones being able to move to Coforge and get with a company that has a future. Not sure Sabre as it exists today will be around, probably a candidate for a buyout from somebody wanting to dismantle.
"I am not clear" and "whining"- you just outed yourself as a Director or above level
It is a first step - to Coforge some people. 2nd step is to reduce employment. Everyone knows that there is overemployment in some teams (after tech transformation projects) and there is a place for reductions. Tech companies are reducing employments and Sabre won't be an exception here.
Financial analysts are casting a weary eye at Sabre actually being able to Service the 13 year contract with Coforge. Sabre slated to pay over 100 million a year and concern is the debt load going to overwhelm 1S.
Coforged damn
Bad situation
Wonder what percentage kickback incentives the execs got under the table?
I heard Coforge have a great leadership team. They have no product, yet they all work hard to solve this problem: gather lots of people in a cage, get a deal, push, push then push until they get rich. These are really smart men.
Economic Times article indicated this was a 13 year contract. That means US jobs are flicked for the long term.
It’s disheartening to see people targeting such a gem of a person—someone who always has the best intentions for their team and always there to support from personal and professional perspective. He might not even be aware of what’s happening and seem to be made a scapegoat, yet insensitive people continue to attack someone personally.
4 year contract, but they will sponge info off of Sabre SMEs then fire them. They will have their tentacles deep in Sabre and never let go. See Amdocs and AT&T
Pity that prior to making a decision they didn't ask for feedback any team who had a 'pleasure' to work with Coforge before on any project-it's an absolute nightmare. Those guys don't have basic development skills, good luck trying to speed up any project thanks to their resources. And our Sabre folks will need to babysit them and work their a-s off to deliver anything.
yep you are right thats INR but still close to 90USD which is better than 4
It's funny how people working at Sabre can't distinct that there are different currencies in the World... $7830 my a-s. It's INR - and if you can't google it you can use proper command in SNTE to do the conversion :-D
It’s not a genuine tech company. They don’t develop their own software; instead, their business revolves around leasing personnel to other organizations. Essentially, they operate as a body leasing firm.
