Sabre cut workforce - do not sign then new job offer

Pure and simple, Sabre management team cut workforce to fatten their wallet. Worst of all, they sold you to an Indian slave company. You will be tasked with training their low paying monkeys to offshore these jobs back to India. I feel bad for all of you. I'm so glad I left when things didn't smell right. These managements all pos liers! They had the best year and they decided to stab all you workhorses in the back for another vacation home at southlake.. or maybe an upgrade to the homes at Frisco PGA. If I was you, I would NOT take the job with Conforge or NIIT or what ever they call themselves these days. Let Sabre officially terminate you, get unemployment and severance while you look for another job. Do NOT let these executives sell you like a slave. Have some dignity. Do NOT train these offshore chums to take your job. Hit them where it hurts!

If you refuse the offer then you choose to quit. You are not being laid off.

DO NOT accept the offer unless you are as spineless as your Director. Refuse and get laid off. You will be entitled to a package and unemployment. Else learn nodding your head sideways lol

What happens if you refuse to go to coforge, does that count as a layoff, being fired or is it counted as quitting?

No unemployment benefits unless you're laid off so it's important.

It seems like the best option is to take the coforge job now and then start polishing your resume in case you get laid off 4 years later. You may have a job there longer than many others have at Sabre

Look at these postings by execs saying conforge jobs are 4 years guranteed or you got 4 year notice. They really think you're that stupid to believe that. Anyone that ever worked for Indian consulting firms can tell you how ruthless they are. Those Indian executives lie more than sabre executives. All employment contracts in USA are at will. There is never a gurantee. You will be canned shortly after you train offshore or h1b resources. Do not trust a word these execs tell you. Did you ever get your inflation pay increase they promised you? Did they not promise no more layoffs or cuts? They just cut 500 employees and there is absolutely no job security with a Indian firm. Brush of on you resume and file for unemployment.

Really instead of severance and a layoff they gave you a paid 4-year notice. agree or disagree that is at least a pretty decent thing to do instead of just slash. There are several ways to look at it.

The coforge jobs are guaranteed until 2029. The Sabre jobs certainly aren't. Don't pity those who moved. They deserve congratulations.

Executives just got 1.56 billion. Hope you chums get a hefty pay raise and hefty signup bonus. Otherwise, DO NOT sign! Guess what, If NO one signs the new SLAVE contract, Coforge will back out of the deal immediately!

The fact that you are still at Sabre means you have no decency. Also, I remember most of you calling out Trump and talking down on offshore labor. Don't worry. I am sure Trump is gonna help you out :)

I agree.I found the amount of BS and gaslighting aroud this change unprecedental even as for Sabre.Leadership positioning it as 'exciting growth opportunity'...for real??they think we are id--ts?It's just disgusting.People are disposable,have some decency to at least try to not make it a reason to celebrate....and I'm saying all this as a lucky one not impacted,just feel sorry for all my affected coworkers.

Yeah buddy. I got more than enough severance when I left. Took me less than 2 months to land another job. And guess what, this company gave good signing bonus, unlimited pto and stock option. Which one of the exec are you?
