Xerox was home for over a decade. I learned quickly how to navigate dysfunction and became an expert at it and it paid off for a long time. Then I was IRIF’d. Found a job quickly and am never looking back. Good riddance. It’s nice to have new opportunities with businesses that aren’t in decline.
The decline in the business model isn’t going to stop. Buying Lexmark, taking marketshare and finding revenue in me too cr-p isn’t going to fix it either. Xerox is delaying death at this point.
I wish you all well, but to those left. Leave! The stress, reinventing into what? Ain’t worth it!
Get out while you can. Xerox will just continue to do what they’ve always done. Destroy everything they touch. No matter how many town halls you get from Dunkin Donuts (SB) and Camaro, gold chains and hairplugs (JB) it ain’t gonna work.
They’re just putting lipstick on a pig and calling it reinvention.
