Could Belk’s name now be poison in the retail industry?
belk is struggling significantly trying to find help from the top level down to the lowest level jobs.
Perhaps Sycamores aggressive approach to cost cutting has finally caught up with them?
Belk needs to revamp its reputation and do it quickly, or it will be permanently tarnished, or maybe that was sycamores game plan all along?

Belk just hired a new merchandise executive officer MaryAnn Morin today from Macy’s rejected back ground to improve Belk operations and future business! Tell me one thing Belk has done right so far and I can tell you a million things why Belk will fail again. God helps us please!
What do you call a company that runs by a bunch of no brain and no vision monkeys? The Belk Banana Republic! That is exactly what Belk poor image today in retail industry!
As I said before about pathetic Belk corporation and how it has run a very bad business since being bought out and abused like an old cheap pr-------e! It does matter if Belk closes all stores this month or several months from now to me or all of you care, the blinds lead the blind in the end both shall fall into the ditch! That is our Belk ugly and pathetic future!
Once again I will say that Sycamore and belk management don't care about associates, customers or anything except for money in their pockets. Belk is a horrible place to work and bottum line is they don't care. And the people they do hire are all of us that feel like we have no other choices. They play games with your schedule and if it you can't pay your bills they don't care. They like to have their associates under their thumb. Until they lose another batch then all of a sudden they need you for a bunch of hours. Sycamores plan is to grab all the revenue it can and then they will give the investors a huge payment before they file chapter 7. Sorry but belks reputation is already shot and has been for a while.
Not only can’t they hire, they can’t keep the people they have. It’s the epitome of a bad company to work for.
