I’m undecided about what I want to happen with CP Chem.
As a layman, it does seem to be a pretty good investment.
On the other hand, I’d love to see ‘Ol Gogo be forced to either sell it or be forced to resign.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Not sure what you mean. How is it that VLO and MPC can make a profit and pay dividends from refining but P66 wouldn’t be able to ? We do own some refining assets.that make a lot of money.
The premise of Elliott was that midstream and chemicals are being held back by refining. Elliott wants us to Sell CPCHEM to chevron (can't spin off due to jv agreements) and spin off midstream. Truth is CPChem is a good world class asset with low cost feedstock exposure. Last quarter they distributed a profit to us while competitors like DOW chemical lost money on EU assets and stuff. What happens when we don't have chemicals and mid to pay a dividend? That's right you and I are gone.
The original post looks like a pretty good post to me. As the poster says we’ll find out what happens when everything is said and done.
I agree this is a silly post.
You have no say so this is a B.S. post. Kinda like, if I had a girl and she is not too pretty but I'm a great lover would she stay?
