Massive layoffs took place in Israel last week. I heard reports that the managers were unaware that their employees were being let go.
This is going to impact USA soon. Reports are that NCR wants to let go at least 50% of their staff here in the USA.
Anyone know what a Grade 7,8, or 9 would get as a severance if that happens? Asking for an NCR friend My region will probably keep me and my team member until January when it gets slower after the Holiday Season then let us go I hope.
I know for a fact NCR monitors emails keying in on specific words, phrases etc. so there's no hiding what you send or received but they have a much wider spectrum to search. I took that advice from the standpoint that you want to remove anything you don't want gift wrap for a manager to snoop through when he takes over your account like banking records, stocks, personal emails from your family and pictures.
While well meant, the advice to delete emails “you don’t want anyone to see” is not relevant. NCR already has every email you’ve ever received or sent (or at least as long ago as current company retention policy).
When you get the call it's too late. Your mgr will be removing your access as he speaks. You need to install the jiggler or similar so your screen doesnt lock. Also move your sensitive mail and any files to a folder on an attached drive. When he removes your permissions you will no longer be able to access mail in the vault or send mail. You will also be cut off from any files in shared locations. Delete any mail you dont want anyone to see or have because guess what your mgr will have access to your mail account to snoop through for 90 days.
This company likes the element of surprise. You have no choice just be prepared if you get the call or are asked to join a meeting. I am ready at this point and sadly hoping they let me go via RIF. Any valuable info or files on your laptop and phone back it up ASAP. What brought about the layoffs in Israel as this is the first I’m hearing of it? I never moved my old 401K to this company because you never know and didn’t want the hassle of having to move it again.
100 employees is a good start but don't stop there. Spread the love to Europe. After all NCR is a US company so all non essential non customer facing there should go first.

severance is based upon pay grade. As grade 11, I got 14 weeks (44 years of service) in 2018. Dumped on a conference call
Its not a percentage it’s 4-6 weeks base salary.
US severance pay is 17% for full time employees. Is that true?

UK too. Too many high salaries there for jobs that can be done in the US, Serbia or India for less that are not restrictive to or specific to UK. Consolidate Only business units that need to remain are Sales and CE
