Thread regarding Ford layoffs

BF and JF need a good technical astrologer to help with the timing of EV programs.

Joan Quigley is no longer available, but maybe someone else?

...inside of 8 years will there still be a Ford?

I honestly don't believe there will be one. Finally open your mouth I think this company lost the window to recover from this pathetic leadership.

I only hope it can last another 18 months so I can retire and watch Rome burn while Nero fiddles

You see a competent person in charge of a global company would continue to produce top quality vehicles at an affordable price that people wanted to buy while building towards the future.

The id--ts running this place pushed all in and came up with the losing hand as usual.

How many billions of dollars into a dilapidated train station that isn't going to do anything but puff up somebody's fragile little ego and legacy?

How the he-l are these people still running this company?

@ch+1jn2zhz5j The fact they even needed a paper to validate this says a lot. It was very obvious that EVs were a losing value proposition for our customers.

The truth is that Ford thought that taxpayers were going to foot the bill after EVs were mandated by the US Government. Didn’t happen.

SCI-LAB did a paper back in 2017. In that paper outlined all the reasons why a customer might not purchase an EV. BF/JH/JF choose to ignore it.
nobody doubts that one day ICE will go the way of the horse and buggy.. but there has to be significant improvements to the range, charge times, cost , infrastructure, and battery life before people pull the trigger.
Sorry but the BOD & Senior management do not make one feel confident they can turn around the mess they are in right now.
b8+1jn2zhz5j sorry to bust your bubble but MODEL E has not done SQAUT. DF another real winner professional job hopper. Yeah that makes me feel really good.

Most of the BEV costs are Battery. It’s material cost. Doesn’t matter what sheet metal and software you wrap around it. It will always be more expensive than an equivalent size ICE.

Just stop the nonsense and follow Toyota

setup as a startup? none of is startup mindset, its literally just a label put on it. im speaking from being in model e. the old folks running things have no idea what is going on, they have no technical competence and they exploit the younger talent and take their credit while leaving them in the dark. while making fake promises so they can get what they want and push the can down the road to the next person that has to bare the concerns of lying to our future generation. you know how the buildings are built in places like dubai? you dont see it. you see when its done. not when its being built. except at ford its not a team. its a single person bearing the fruits of labor that will be paraded in hgiher levels as if its their own work. and if you call it out? we will discredit you.

Not funny. Model e is can adjust future product offerings and services to meet the changing market and political landscape. That's why it was set up as a start-up within Ford.

You all act like a business cannot be flexible.

Or they have an option to make the king happier to get back their ev allowances by bending over
